Nilfgaardian Garrison is a location in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
History
It once belonged to White Orchard's baronet, Ignatius Verrieres, but when the baronet learned his son, Florian, was a homosexual and in a relationship with the Mislav, Ignatius banished Mislav from the castle. Upset at this, Florian then committed suicide and Ignatius turned to drinking, letting the fortress fall into a state of ruin.
It was later used as a fortification by the Temerian Army to guard the Ismena river and the road running from White Orchard to Vizima, but it fell to the Nilfgaardians after their victory at the battle of White Orchard in 1272. The garrison then served as an outpost for the Nilfgaardian commanding officer, Captain Peter Saar Gwynleve.
Map description
