Nilfgaardian Garrison Tw3

The Nilfgaardian Garrison is location in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Once it was a fortification used by Temerians to guard the river Ismena and a strategic road to Vizima, but it fell to Nilfgaardians after their victory at the battle of White Orchard that occurred between the Cackler Bridge and Crossroads. It now serves as an outpost for commanding officer, Captain Peter Saar Gwynleve.

There are 40 with medics counted to that. Even though the reason of the castle's' ruin is currently unknown, there can be two assumptions. Either it was caused by erosion and negligence, or it was destroyed by war. However, the latter seems unlikely since it is surrounded by swamp, unfavorable terrain for siege engineers to operate on.

Map description

The strategic point guards White Orchard's main river crossing. Nilfgaardian troops have taken it over.

Trivia

  • At the top of the steps, opposite the gate to the courtyard, there are pieces of a bridge, parts of which still stand. Jump over the first gap, and on the left is a chest with armor and coins. It is not possible to continue on the bridge, seeing as the gap is too, even for a witcher.
