Otto was a werewolf that Geralt was originally hired to kill, but instead befriended.
Biography[]
When the bubonic plague became rampant in 1221, Otto fled to the forest to avoid becoming infected. There he was bitten by a werewolf. He met the witcher Geralt, who was hired by the villagers to kill him. But instead, he gave him a cure that prevents him from transforming while carrying it. Otto had later married the werewolf Edwina and had several children. But his family died tragically in a fire.
Around 1265, Otto found refuge with the druid Anika, after meeting her at a temple to mourn his family. She taught him how to make potions, which he can do perfectly after only one year.
Geralt and Jaskier take the traumatized, Teryn, to Otto and Anika, who give her an extraction potion to find out what happened to her. They try to get the information out of Teryn that she was kidnapped by a man and brainwashed. But then the effect of the elixir is altered and the girl casts a spell, causing Otto to lose his necklace, but Geralt managed to avoid it and put the necklace back on him.
