There are a number of persons in distress to be found and rescued throughout the locations and regions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Description[]
Person(s) in distress are usually found locked in cages, or being attacked by bandits. They are often "high-value" targets such as blacksmiths, armorers, or merchants, who will return to their home town or village on foot once rescued. Once they have returned back home, their services will be unlocked for Geralt to use, and some of them (at least those in the base game) will also give him a small reward.
