Pokvit was one of two servants who worked for the merchant Yurga, and was in charge of driving his cart. His fellow servant was named Vell, who also happened to be Pokvit's son. When Yurga's cart was set upon by creatures, Pokvit and Vell both took flight and left the merchant to fend for himself. After Geralt intervened and saved Yurga, Pokvit and Vell returned and escorted their master and the witcher back to Yurga's home.
