In the world of The Witcher, the term quadroon refers to a person who has one quarter elven blood (whose parents are either one human and one half-elf, or two quadroons). Only the pickiest about race consider them nonhuman.
Notable quadroons
- Yennefer of Vengerberg
- Goidemar
- Falka
- Fiona or Adela[1]
- Amavet (see previous item)
- Vestibor
- Berengaria Thyssen
- Edmund Thyssen
- Ramona Thyssen
Trivia
- This term is lifted from actual history, part of a hypodescent vocabulary developed to distinguish levels of either African or Australian Aboriginal ancestry, which is now considered offensive.
