Any combination of three Meteorite ores can be forged into a steel sword by a blacksmith to create a Meteorite sword with different effects.

In the Prologue, received from Vesemir (he gives it to you once you have exhausted all conversation options, but only if you helped him defeat the Frightener)
In Chapter I:
- dropped by Leo's ghost (if it shows up)
- after a second visit to the crypt, found in Ozzrel's area.
In Chapter II:
- found in a chest in the Cemetery crypt
- Mage's tower
- may be purchased at the Lumberjacks' glade along with other items from a lumberjack who needs 200 . If you tell him that is too much he then offers to sell the items for 150 orens.
In Chapter III, received from Andrew Gablodda as one of three possible rewards.
In Chapter IV:
- sold by the Blacksmith's son
- received as a reward for Temptation quest from blacksmith (not his wife).
In Chapter V:
- sold by the Scoia'tael quartermaster
- sold by the Order quartermaster
