Restif de Montholon was a Nilfgaardian historian and the author of The Northern Wars. Myths, Lies and Half-truths. His works criticized the strategy of the Nilfgaardian military commanders, including Field Marshal Coehoorn and Joachim de Wett in particular, and anyone do not meet with the approval of the Emperor in general.
