Scrolls

This page lists all the scrolls found in The Witcher with links to the individual pages. Scrolls are not the only reading material available to Geralt. There are also many books and posters scattered around Vizima and environs.

Multi-formula scrolls

• The Book of the Golden Oriole contains recipes for Golden Oriole, Black Blood, and Wolf.
• The Book of the Kiss contains recipes for Kiss, Insectoid oil, and Argentia.
• The Book of the Swallow contains recipes for Swallow, Blizzard, Cat, White Gull, and Necrophage oil.
• The Book of the Tawny Owl contains recipes for Tawny Owl, Bindweed, and White Honey.

Scrolls for mutagenic potions

While these potions are called mutagenic, they do not require the "mutagen" ingredient (it can of course be used if hydragenum is necessary, but it has no special purpose or effect), contrary to what some players have assumed. They actually produce the "mutagen" referred to on the hero panel to unlock certain abilities like Rising Moon or Predator.
