Sheep are animals found on farms and pastures in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. They are often accompanied by shepherds and guard dogs.

They behave quite different from cows and pigs, escaping from player even if not attacked. Loot can be an old sheepskin or Raw Meat. Some inkeepers sell mutton stew and mutton leg, but this kind of meat cannot be obtained from sheep, just bought.

  • A small group of immortal sheep can be found next to a guarded treasure and Cyclops in Novigrad/Velen. Kept inside a fenced area they're impossible to kill or interact with.

  • The immortal sheep near the cyclops in Velen may be a reference to Polyphemus from the Greek epic poem, Odyssey.
