Sheepbagger (Polish: Kozojed) was a cobbler from Barefield who took part in the hunt for the legendary golden dragon, Villentretenmerth. As a child he was a sheep herder. It was his idea to poison the dragon who had been stealing sheep. He was killed by Villentretenmerth.
While Geralt and Triss are inspecting the wreck of the Petra Silie to gather information on the kayran, they stumble upon the remains of "a ram stuffed with sulfur and a dead cobbler — straight out of eastern legends". A direct reference to Sheepbagger's method of dragon disposal.
- Sheepbagger seems to have been directly inspired by Skuba, a cobbler's apprentice living in early medieval Kraków who, according to legend, slew the dragon of Wawel Hill by feeding it a lamb stuffed with sulphur, giving it such a thirst that it drank from the Wisła River until it burst.
