Sigismund Dijkstra was an advisor to King Vizimir II.
Biography[]
Sending a Spy to Cintra[]
Dijkstra came to King Vizimir's rescue, killing two of his advisors, who were attempting to kill him, stabbing one in the throat and poisoning the other. He then revealed to the king that the Northern Kingdoms had formed an alliance based on their mutual hatred of elves, but that was no concern of theirs. With Calanthe gone, Dijkstra believed the time had come to make a play for Cintra.
Dijkstra contemplated his next move. Perhaps their way into Cintra was by sending in an elven spy. The elf he chose just so happens to be Dara.[1]
Meeting with the Brotherhood[]
Dijkstra informed the Brotherhood that an elven baby had been born of a mage. Artorius and Stregobor saw this as a potential threat, who were already aligned with Nilfgaard. However, Tissaia and Vilgefortz didn't intend to act on unfounded prejudice and rumor. Dijkstra replied that today's gossip was next month's news. For instance, he'd heard that Triss had returned, which the council was not aware of.
King Vizimir and Dijkstra discussed their next move. Ciri would give them the rightful claim to Cintra, making Redania the most powerful kingdom on the Continent. Unfortunately, unknown variables remained at Aretuza. But even without Dara, they remained in a strong position.[2]
In late at night, Vizimir is getting a box with a gift from Nilfgaardin inside and when he opens it, inside is his wife's head and then Dijkstra orders the guards to search for the murderer. Wizard and the Radovid are left alone. The Dijkstra admits that he is the one who killed the queen in order to make the Redania ally with the Northern Kingdoms and start the war with the empire.
