Sir Gareth's bone is a quest item in the Blood and Wine expansion.
It can be found in the grotto under the house of the witch living on Lynx Crag, and is required to lift Daphne's curse. Apparently the unfortunate Sir Gareth overlooked a breach in the rock above and fell to his death.
