The Book of the Swallow is a scroll in The Witcher that is used to make the potion of the same name, as well as the White Gull, Cat, and Blizzard potions, and necrophage oil.
It can be learnt during the Prologue from Triss, automatically obtained upon first entering the Outskirts, or exchanged for a gold silk scarf (golden kerchief) with the druids at the swamp cave during Act V.
