The Royal Air Force is a treasure hunt quest in the Hearts of Stone expansion.
Walkthrough[]
To start this quest, go to the hidden treasure marker at Vikk Watchtower and, after dealing with the harpies there, loot the corpse there for Nicolas Vogel's laboratory notebook and a chest key. Reading the notebook will officially start the quest.
With the key, make your way up to the highest level of the Vikk Watchtower where a chest containing some loot awaits to be opened. Optionally, on the lowest level of the tower, one can find and loot an account book from the remains of Rohn Drump.
Journal entry[]
- Another day, another corpse -- and, the witcher suspected, another document revealing the tale of the deceased's demise. He was not mistaken.
- Nicolas Vogel's laboratory notebook described the experiments the mad mage had conducted on harpies and also mentioned a hidden stash of coin. The chest's contents would be no use to Nicolas in the afterlife, so Geralt decided to secure them for himself.
- He found the treasure chest atop the ruined tower. After emptying the thoroughly pecked container of its contents, the brave witcher continued on his Path.
Objectives[]
- Read Nicolas Vogel's notebook
- Search the laboratory ruins
Notes[]
- The reward loot will always be New Moon trousers, Diagram: Pyerog runestone, Greater Triglav runestone, Horse blinders and some random loot that can include up to 2 other diagrams.
- The harpies in this quest have a unique appearance with helmets on their heads. The Horse blinders found in the chest are likely a mini easter egg in reference to these helmets, as they feature blinders themselves.
- A Letter from the Chancellery of His Most Gracious Majesty, Radovid the Fifth of Redania was also supposed to be present in the treasure chest, but has been disabled for unknown reasons.
