  • I appreciate the History section and its info you added on Mount Gorgon but next time, please, also add reference from where you took the information. If it is from book (does not matter if in-game or real) then be sure to write it in italics. You can inspire here: Anséis.

      Loading editor
    • Okay, point taken. Thanks for adding the reference.

        Loading editor
    • Hi. I have a plan you might be interested in. If you want to know more look here: Thread:56253#4 and tell your ideas and stance about this I would appreciate it ;)

    • Hello, I have a question. Why are you adding Category: Geography on so many pages? Without even asking some admin. I mean, I have nothing against you, but this isn't how it works.

        Loading editor
    • I'm just going off the description of the category which states that the category "groups together geographical locations, including Kingdoms, provinces, duchies, cities, locations within cities, etc. It also includes geographical features like seas, lakes, mountain ranges, forest areas and rivers in the Witcher universe." All the pages I've added to the category thus far fulfill this criteria.

Is this category supposed to be exclusively a collection of sub-categories? In which case, I'll stop. But going purely off the description, it seems to me that a lot of pages are missing from the 'Geography' category.

But anyway, that's my reasoning. If you have a problem with this, let me know, and I will go and do something more productive.

        Loading editor
    • Well, I wouldn't say "exclusively a collection of sub-categories", but kinda if you understand what I mean. By "doing something more productive" you mean what precisely? You could start with Relationship sections for Geralt, Ciri, Yennefer... you rembember what I am talking about?

        Loading editor
    • I do remember; I've recently started describing events related to Geralt in the first game. It's not "Relationships" specifically, but more of a detailed, chronological order of events, similar to what they have on other language Witcher wikis. Progress is slow (I've only done up to chapter I) because I have little time.

By "doing something more productive" I just meant something that isn't categorization, or some such mundane task. I didn't mean anything in particular.

    • Hi 1857a! You recently uploaded some images of Refugee Camp but only pale white picture is visible. Do you plan to reupload it or can I delete it straightaway?

        Loading editor
    • Yeah, feel free to delete them. I tried to include the images in an article, but for some reason, they're only visible if you click on them to make them full-size. Is there a way to make them display properly?

        Loading editor
    • Well, I never had that kind of issue. Just try to upload them again or contact Raylan13, he is from a Wikia staff.

        Loading editor
    • Well I wrote a message to you but someone other has already taken care of it :) BTW: Do you plan to add infoes from TW1 as you started with Geralt? Just askin...

        Loading editor
    • Oh okay, fine :) Yeah I'll be adding them, though slowly and infrequently, because I'm busy with things. In fact, this month I'm less busy than in other months, so I'll try to continue with the character synopses.

        Loading editor
    • Hi... you have a moment?

        Loading editor
    • Yeah, what's up?

        Loading editor
    • How long was it since you played the first Witcher game? I would like someone to improve on character pages from that game like I did with Kalkstein (quote, biography, infobox)... I could do that but you know how it is - two will make it quicker. :)

        Loading editor
    • It's been a while, but I've recently watched a let's play of it on youtube, so it's all pretty fresh to me

        Loading editor
    • Does that mean you'll help? Not like forcing you buut...

        Loading editor
    • Yeah I'll see what I can do; I'm going over each character's infobox and adding appearances and voice actors anyway, so I'll probably add something if there's content missing

        Loading editor
    • Also, we (I and Mechemik) discussed in which tense to write, we agreed on the past. Here you go, please tell what you think Thread:63322#24

        Loading editor
    • You added info. on Silver Basilisk right?

        Loading editor
    • Oh yeah, that was a while ago

        Loading editor
    • Something wrong with it?

        Loading editor
    • Well, the year is wrong - Blood and Wine happen in 1275. (according to Tourney scribe's notes)

        Loading editor
    • Okay thanks, fixed it. Added to timeline as well

        Loading editor
    • I see that the word did not get to you. I and Mechemik have agreed to write in past tense because the events occurred already and all that... can link you that discussion if you want. We also agreed on replacing section like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Blood and Wine expansion with such as Biography or History. So please when writing about characters (Yaki Rafiberg) or countries remember that. O also want to genuinely thank you for sticking around :)

        Loading editor
    • Okay noted, but what about events that are player-dependent (e.g. Sile de Tansarville dying, or not dying and later being imprisoned)? I feel like it would be weird to write both versions in the past tense when those events are mutually exclusive.

        Loading editor
    • Mechemik created a template:ConditionalEnding, it works great for such things. What do you think?

        Loading editor
    • Yeah, it's nice, but the example given is in the present tense. Should I use the present tense when using that template?

        Loading editor
    • That's an error, you should use past (like Dandelion does in journal entries).

        Loading editor
    • Okay, will do

        Loading editor
    • I really like what you're doing with characters. However I must ask, is spoiler tag necessary? The game is out for 2-3 years already. But otherwise, good work ;)

        Loading editor
    • Thanks, and yeah the spoiler tags are probably not that necessary, but I don't think they're doing any harm.

        Loading editor
    • Speaking of spoiler tags, I'm starting to think we just need a general template to put at the top of each page. I'm seeing occasional complaints about stuff being spoiled for them because user comments on the pages.

        Loading editor
    • I agree with that. Another thing I wanted to tell you 1857a, if you see a good image on Russian wiki for some character (Benoit for example) and can't upload your own, please add it here.

        Loading editor
    • So do you think we should have one general spoiler tag or have one for say, the books and one for the games? Or just keep it simple to say there are spoilers in the article?

        Loading editor
    • One large spoiler tag for sure. Maybe general would be better. For example spoiler Emhyr-Duny is mainly book spoiler, but it isn't thrown right away in games (TW1-TW2) until TW3.

        Loading editor
    • Ok, just did a test one on Emhyr's. Thoughts?

        Loading editor
    • Looking good but, wasn't better blue?

        Loading editor
    • ok, made it similar to the original tags. Better?

        Loading editor
    • Awesome! Those are even the colors of Nilfgaard so GG xD

        Loading editor
    • Suuuure, that's why I did it xD

        Loading editor
    • It does look good but because its small, it isn't effective very much in warning from Spoiler. Could you please make it bigger? About the size of similar templates on AC and Warhammer Fantasy Wikias. Maybe you could also add image to such template (like on Wookiepedia)? These might serve you.

        Loading editor
    • Ok, what about now?

        Loading editor
    • Different image. That medaillon looks good but is getting overused IMHO. And there is plenty of candidates in that ^ link.

        Loading editor
    • Well, my main isue is I want to use an image that isn't tied to a particular game so people will know it covers all the series. Like if you look at the spoiler tag for various ME, when they use images, they're specific to each game. Makes it easier to tell what the spoiler's for, but doesn't work for general (like we're trying to do). That's why I didn't use an image originally.

        Loading editor
    • AC uses achievement image from one of games, Warhammer Fantasy well-known image of witch hunter from that franchise. Isn't there a different general-suited image?

        Loading editor
    • Mhh but the emoticons you sent aren't so much serious to be on the sign.

        Loading editor
    • Hmm, achievement icons wise, this one maybe?

        Loading editor
    • Maybe even this ?

        Loading editor
    • Otherwise i got another idea: since all the gwent cards will have a avatar, may we can use their avatar on their spoiler sign, by now i got these:

        Loading editor
    • I think that from what you two listed here, that achievement is best

        Loading editor
    • Ok, how about now?

        Loading editor
    • Mhm, can be. At least one thing resolved :P
