Either way there seems to be discrepancies over this date throughout the Saga. I have, however, noticed that a lot of these said dates are in reference to the Second Battle of Sodden, and I don't believe there was anything to suggest that it didn't happen a year after the initial conflicts (much like Brenna).

As for Dynastic Descriptions, there is so much information in that that directly contradicts what he himself wrote in the Saga it's just silly. Personally, I've just taken to adopting the areas that fit into the already established timeline and ignoring the glaring parts that do not (instead taking the Saga canon counterparts).

I guess it's a little different on the wiki, but if you want to make note of all the dates in Dynastic Descriptions on the timeline I feel there is going to be a lot of (inconsistent with dates from the Saga) there

Regarding Pavetta's age, Calanthe's ect. if you take the basis of Emhyr himself stating that in 1268 it has been 16 years since Pavetta's 15th, and Vissegerd corroborating this by saying it has been 15 years in 1267, that can be used as a fairly solid basis of events working back from 1268.

No, but by working backwards from the years provided (such as Meve's observation that in 1268 it has been five years since Cintra was first invaded and Calanthe's suicide) I'd say that Autumn 1263 for the Battle of Marnadal and the fall of Cintra.

Again I feel we may have a bit of an issue with the dates;

We know in Meve's example it is April, and the fall of Cintra took place around the autumn, if she says five years ago she could be refering to 1268 being the fifth year from 1263 (in which case it would probably be closer to 4.5 years) or 1268 from 1262 (in which case it would probably be closer to 5.5 years). Personally, I'd be inclined to believe it is more likely to be the former in this case, but this issue may apply to all dates; e.g. "three years ago" may mean 2.5 to 3.5.

Either way there seems to be discrepancies over this date throughout the Saga. I have, however, noticed that a lot of these said dates are in reference to the Second Battle of Sodden, and I don't believe there was anything to suggest that it didn't happen a year after the initial conflicts (much like Brenna).
