Upper Sodden was the southern part of Sodden and was the area south of the Yaruga river between Cintra, Brugge, and Riverdell.
History
In 1263, the southern part of Sodden was invaded by the Nilfgaardian Army, led by Menno Coehoorn, and its defence was annihilated in a battle resulting in a Nilfgaardian victory.
In the aftermath of the First Northern War, Sodden was split between Nilfgaard and the Northern Kingdoms into Upper Sodden and Lower Sodden, with the Yaruga forming a natural boundary.
After the split, Upper Sodden became a province of Cintra, but not everyone was happy and an anti-Nilfgaard group was born in the Slopes. After the Peace of Cintra, it was reunited with Lower Sodden under Temeria.
