Henselt's intervention[]

Following the execution of Nikodemus Talbot in 1248, Henselt's forces marched into the duchy to avenge the affront.[2]

Geography and climate[]

Vespaden is situated north of Kaedwen, touching the Kestrel and Dragon Mountains. It is characterised by merciless winters and taigas full of monsters.[2]

Economy[]

Vespaden's mines are resource-rich but reaching them is a dangerous journey.[2]

Notable locations[]

Notes[]

  • The real world origin of the duchy is based on a mistake: on a fan-made world map from Andrzej Sapkowski Zone, Yspaden (a city in northern Redania) was misspelled as "Vspaden" and made a region to the north of Kaedwen. While Wiedźmin: Gra Wyobraźni authors originally intended to rename it into Barsa for the 2nd edition, they ultimately decided against it and only slightly altered the name to Vespaden to avoid mistaking it with the Redanian city.

Footnotes[]

  1. In the unpublished map for 2nd Edition of Wiedźmin: Gra Wyobraźni the city of Lod was located in the area that was named Vspaden in the map for previous edition, though the area was no longer called as such in the newer map.
