The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt[]
In the third game, vitality tracks Geralt's health. If vitality reaches zero, Geralt dies and the player must reload a saved game. The beginning amount of vitality is 3500.
Recovery[]
Vitality is recovered:
- by meditating, except on the two highest difficulty levels
- by eating food or drinking beverages
- by quaffing potions, notably Swallow
- by using techniques, including:
- Gourmet (vitality regeneration from eating greatly increased)
- Sun and Stars (slow regeneration during the day)
- level 3 of the Quen sign's Active Shield technique (every hit absorbed heals Geralt)
- by using decoctions:
- Ekimmara decoction (Damage to enemies heals Geralt)
- Ekhidna decoction (Stamina consumption heals Geralt)
- Troll decoction (Vitality regenerates during and outside of combat)
- by sleeping in your bed at Corvo Bianco
