Vizimir II was the king of Redania.
Biography[]
King Vizimir and the Northern Kingdoms arrived at Aretuza following the Battle of Sodden Hill, where they honored the fallen and prepared for the execution of Cahir, who was captured during battle. However, rather than cutting off his head, Yennefer cut Cahir of his chains and helped him escape.[1]
King Vizimir was nearly poisoned and killed by two of his advisors, but Dijkstra came to his rescue, killing them both, stabbing one in the throat and poisoning the other. He then revealed to the king that the Northern Kingdoms had formed an alliance based on their mutual hatred of elves, but that was no concern of theirs. With Calanthe gone, Dijkstra believed the time had come to make a play for Cintra.[2]
King Vizimir and Dijkstra discussed their next move. Ciri would give them the rightful claim to Cintra, making Redania the most powerful kingdom on the Continent. Unfortunately, unknown variables remained at Aretuza. But even without Dara, they remained in a strong position.[3]
After that night Vizimir get a box with a gift form Nilfgaardin inside, he is excited, but quickly his joy turns into sorrow when he sees Hedwig head into box, he starts to cry and is escorted away.
That day he started to hate the Empire greatly.
Death[]
After Redania's failed attempt to take Aretuza, Vizimir forced Dijkstra that an example must be made and that Philippa must take the blame. Fortunately, Philippa falls back into Vizimir's good graces when he returns Prince Radovid to the castle safely. However, as soon as he returned, Radovid asked him to let him go, planning to reunite with Jaskier. Just as Radovid was making preparations for his departure, Vizimir is killed by Eva. Radovid had no choice but to stay in Redania and assume the throne, all thanks to Philippa's machinations.
