Walter Veritas was a Novigradian spy from the Veritas family.
Biography[]
Sometime between 1267-1272, after his father, Victor Veritas, passed away, he was tasked by Helveed, the Grand Inquisitor of the Eternal Fire, to continue his father's work and to investigate about the Criminal Underworld of Novigrad, since according to him, even the Hierarch Hemmelfart was lately acting suspiciously.

- Notes from Walter's journal were published on Twitter walls of CD PROJEKT RED employees who work on Gwent: The Witcher Card Game. They were meant to introduce players into lore of the Syndicate, new playable faction introduced with the Novigrad expansion.
- The character's appearance is based on Jason Slama, the game director of Gwent: The Witcher Card Game who has written the journal entries.
