Yaren was a Temerian man who was killed by the King of the Wolves in 1272. Ciri and Gretka encountered his corpse while searching for the beast. He had been torn about and thrown against a tree. Ciri was only able to tell that the beast was a werewolf after inspecting Yaren's corpse.
