The Zammorto Bank is the smallest of the dwarven banks in Novigrad, but its position is unquestioned. It is owned and run by the Zammorto family.
History[]
The Zammorto Bank was founded in the city of Novigrad. There, it competed with other dwarven banks such as the Vivaldi, Cianfanelli, and Giancardi banks. Although the Zammorto Bank is the smallest of the dwarven banks, it nonetheless holds an undisputable position in the city's financial system. Traditionally, the bank’s president, Gabron Zammorto, heads the Guild of Bankers.
Furthermore, the Zammorto Bank is practically the only one that does not engage in commodity trading on the exchange. Its source of income lies in its activity on the credit market. The low interest rates on loans ensure that they always have many clients — from small business owners to members of the ruling classes. On June 15, 1260, the bank issued a promissory note of 10,000 crowns for the firm Reihrin, Crammer and Reihrin.[1]
